India’s ancient science of healing is, at a conservative estimate, about five thousand years old. Ayur means herbs and Veda means science. According to Ayurveda there are five main elements in nature: earth, air, space, water and fire. Combinations of these elements give rise to three main ‘doshas’ or constitutional types, Vata (air), Pitta (fire) and Kapha (water).  When any of these ‘doshas’ accumulate in the body beyond the desirable limit, the body loses its balance. Ayurvedic treatments along with the Ayurvedic cuisine aim to restore balance according to an individual’s constitution.

Ayurveda is purely herbal based; its medication and treatment oils are made from the roots, the leaves, the sap or even the bark of a tree, from small shrubs and weeds, from spices and their extracts. The body and mind are treated as a whole. Expert therapists work with you from head to toe, bringing new life to tired muscles, bones and tendons.
